WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT INFLUENZA?

Influenza is becoming more common and problematic across pig flows in Ontario, as well as across Canada. All types of production are affected (sow barns, nurseries and finishers) which can result in significant production losses, especially when combined with other viruses or bacterial infections. Endemic pig flows with continual influenza circulation are becoming more common, which is contradicting the historical pattern of sudden respiratory illness followed by a quick recovery.
