In-Company Training

Our qualified personnel can travel to your location for customized training, adapted to the realities of your production. We also have more than 20 hours of video training available for your convenience. Farrowing management, cross-feeding, sampling, 4-week batch farrowing, euthanasia, herd health monitoring, work safety, and use of the myHealthFile tools, are some of the topics that can be covered. Do not hesitate to contact us with your needs.

Journée Conférence/Technical Update

Demeter organizes conferences for its customers every year. Guest speakers will address topics related to health, management, reproduction, pig feeding, and many others, in a friendly atmosphere focused on discussion. Participants come out better equipped to face the daily ups and downs of pig production.

The Demeter conferences are an opportunity for you and your team to learn about topics pertinent to you, at no additional cost. The main event, welcoming more than 150 participants, takes place in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, Quebec, in the fall. In Ontario, we assemble more than 100 producers in Stratford for the Technical Update which is usually held at the end of January or beginning of February.

Webinars

Throughout the year, Demeter, its collaborators, and guest speakers, present a series of webinars on Canadian pork production. There are 13 webinars, 6 in French and 7 in English, to be presented in 2021. The whole series is posted on the Pig Channel website where you can find all relevant information (topics, dates, times, speakers, registration, etc.). You can also replay past webinars as they are all recorded during their live-streams.

Our strong and dynamic team of veterinarians, production specialists, agrologists, and nutritionists work together to provide added value to Canadian swine producers. We also have a Pig Channel discussion group on Facebook to foster community and promote dialogue around the many topics that we cover in our webinars.
